The Volunteer Appreciation Event

Why This Event Means So Much To Us

The Volunteer Appreciation Event

Word from the Pastor blog - Ben Mandrell - Storyline FellowshipThis Friday night, May 20, our team is hosting a night of gratitude for the servants at Storyline. We have super fun stuff planned. We have much up our sleeve. Why? Because we could never be where we are today without this massive group of foot-washers.

Jesus defined leadership by taking up the towel and performing lowly tasks. Greatness in the eyes of God involves humility. To be lifted up, one must lower himself and prioritizing the needs of others is central to the Gospel message.

As we put final touches on the evening, as we brace ourselves for big fun, I am overjoyed by the teamwork I witness every Sunday and at every event. “Special Forces” arrive in children’s ministry, music ministry, technical support, hospitality, prayer warriors, student ministry and so much more.

For those who serve at Storyline, I offer you the highest praise! Thank you for making ministry more than a spectator sport. You are in the game and God smiles upon his servants.

May He reward you richly for giving yourself away.
