Plan Your Visit

What to Expect When You Come to Storyline

At Storyline, you’ll be welcomed into a friendly environment

by people who want to know your story. We want to give you an idea of what you might expect on your first visit. All you have to do from here is show up and find out what Storyline is all about!

Storyline meets at Ralston Valley High School on Sundays at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

We believe that every person
has a story and every story matters.

What should I expect when I show up on a Sunday morning?

You will be greeted and directed into Ralston Valley High School from the parking lot to the front doors and into the worship room. One of our volunteers will be there to help you and your family get settled in.

If you are checking in children between birth and 6th grade, we will take your family’s information and issue security tags for each of your children. After you drop your kids off, you can stop in the lobby for some coffee and tea or you can head straight into the worship room for service.

If you don’t have kids between birth and sixth grade, you get to head straight for the coffee and into the worship room.

Services begin promptly at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and each lasts about 75 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why are kids separate from adults during service?

We are serious about meeting the needs of our children. We provide an age-appropriate learning experience that engages all of their senses. We want them to understand just how much joy and adventure there can be in studying the Bible and following Jesus. Of course, you are more than welcome to keep your little one with you in worship!  We love to see families worshipping together as well.

What should I wear?

We want you to wear whatever you feel comfortable in! You will see people in everything from jeans and t-shirts to slacks and dress shirts.

What denomination are you?

Our church community is made up of a melting pot of various churches backgrounds and denominations. We are joined by one common denominator – Jesus is the reason we have life and is worthy of our allegiance and devotion. However, we voluntarily join with like-minded churches through our partnership and involvement with the Send Network of the North American Mission Board. As for our beliefs, we have a whole page explaining exactly what we, as a church, believe.

Are you always going to meet in a school?

Storyline Fellowship was officially born on February 8, 2015, with weekly services at West Woods Elementary School in northwest Arvada. We now meet in Ralston Valley High School. To say that we are grateful to be in these great schools is an understatement; we appreciate the privilege of being a portable church that rents this public space!

Having said that, it is not the intention of Storyline to be “forever portable.” One day, Lord willing, we will have a more permanent home. Recently, God made that dream more realistic when He opened the door to acquire a significant, strategically-located tract of land at the northeast corner of 86th Avenue and Indiana St.

While we are thankful to tie down this piece of property, it is highly unlikely that we will build on our land within the next few years. Of course, this could change, as the Lord provides unforeseen financial gifts. The plan, at this time, is to remain portable for the next three years, meeting in a school. This will allow us build up the financial base of Storyline and to prepare for future construction.

Why "Storyline"?

We believe that every person has a story and every story matters. As we study the Bible, we see that Jesus was a great story teller and was intimately invested in the personal stories of each human he came in contact with. We believe He is still intimately invested in each of our stories – in each of yours. When our stories collide in the context of biblical community, something truly beautiful happens. We would love for you to be a part of it!

What are the "nuts and bolts" of what you believe?
What if I have more questions?

Each month we offer a “getting to know Storyline” class called Starting Point. You’ll get an opportunity to ask questions, interact with church staff and get to know other new faces at Storyline. Click here to sign up for an upcoming class.
